1-74. Scenes of stage designs for a variety of productions, mainly at the Capitol Theatre. Also untitled portraits of performers in costume and theatre directors and musicians (Fred Scholl? and his Capitol organ, and probably Mr Perry of the State Theatre). Some scenes at the State Theatre, including crowds outside the Opening of 'The Patriot' and representatives from British Dominion Films. Also 'If Winter Comes' at the Crystal Palace, 1925 (S. F. Doyle - Managing Director... C. Goddard - Electrician & Operator)

No. 1 shows Ted Henkel and the Capitol Ballet (with some older men and women) ready to leave the Theatre for the Capitol Ball, Wentworth Hotel, 8 pm-1 am Monday 3 Sept 1928. The woman next to Henkel is probably his wife Ruby. -- (Information supplied by Mike Sutcliffe, Sept 2004)

BOX 2
75-190. Stage and movie sets from American productions by Paramount and other companies, probably used as inspiration for local stage sets and designs. Stage productions include 'Birds of a Feather', 'Campus Daze', 'Coney Island', 'Dancing Keys', 'Garden of Girls', 'Puttin on the dog', 'River Memories', 'Sportland'. Motion Pictures productions include 'The Ten Commandments', 'The Thief of Bagdad'.
