The letters are accompanied by typescript transcriptions from a later date. Also included is a handwritten transcription of the poem, "Archie Jackson" / Alex Scott.

Eric (Mac) McGlinchey (1899-1978) lived at 66 Juliett Street, Enmore. He was friends with George Hunter Brown and Gerald Cashel O’Brien who also lived in the Enmore area, mixed in the same circles and played in the same local cricket team.
