Gabrielle Carey is an Australian writer noted for the teenage novel, 'Puberty Blues', which she co-wrote with Kathy Lette. Published in 1979 this novel was the first teenage novel published in Australia that was written by teenagers about growing up a Sydney beachside suburb.
