Ships on pp. 1-4, 7, 9-10, 13, 15, 32, 35, 40, 45, 72, 84 and 100 identified by Captain Hartley F. Watson of the Shiplovers' Society of Victoria, summarised in a typed list at the front of the volume dated 5 December 1969 and 29 July 1972.

Preussen (sailing ship) on p. 1, German five-masted ship; signed H. Daniel, Montevideo.

Hinemoa (sailing ship) and Archibald Russell (sailing ship) on p. 91: if Hartley Watson's note 'Hinemoa' amends 'Archibald Russell' then the upper ship remains unidentified. 'Russell' is sometimes spelt 'Russel'....
