Lieutenant Arthur Gardere Ferguson, a university student of Potts Point, Sydney, enlisted in the A.I.F. aged 22, 19 May 1915. He embarked from Sydney on the Berrima and served with the 20th Battalion at Gallipoli and in France, being promoted Captain in Sept. 1915. He was killed in action in France, 14 June 1916
