General note

'A map of all the Earth and how after the Flood it was divided amongst the sons of Noah'. Joseph Moxon was an engraver, typefounder, polymath, and Hydrographer to the King who also produced series of 'biblical' maps after Nicolaus Visscher. A later state of this world map had a border of vignettes depicting biblical scenes.

Joseph Moxon's son James took over the family business after his father's death in 1691. There were second editions of Moxon biblical world maps....
