German translation of his list of Tahitian plants which was first published in his Journal of a voyage to the South Seas in 1773. Sydney Parkinson worked with botanist Joseph Banks in London before joining him and Daniel Solander on Cook's Endeavour on a circumnavigation of the globe (1768-1771) as a botanical draughtsman.
