Captain Michael Hogan's Indiaman Marquis Cornwallis left Norfolk Island on June 18, 1796, and reached England on July 24, 1797 via Ceylon, Madras, Calcutta, Cape of Good Hope, and St. Helena.

The Brig Clarence was wrecked at Bampton Shoal, 600 miles east of Bowen, Queensland, as late as 1844....
