Includes diagram, description and composition of the section of "Sandstone tableland through which the River has excavated a valley about 1/2 a mile wide and 500 to 700 feet in depth."
Unlike Sheets l to V (tracing linen), or lX to Xlll (yellowed paper backed with cloth) this map is on hand-made paper with watermark J WHATMAN TURKEY MILL 1854. Map grid for a tenth of a degree often divided into 100 squares for accuracy of plotting. Relief by contours in ink wash....
