Wagstaff's summer catalogue of rare books for 1773. [electronic resource] : Most humbly inscribed To the Honorable and Right Honorable the Members of the Royal and Antiquarian Societies: and all other Lovers of Antient and Modern Literature: Comprehending A Matchless Collection of really curious Articles on the most uncommon Subjects: Embellished with Portraits of the Authors, and other ingenious Devices. The whole being such a Collection as are seldom seen, unless in the Libraries of the Greatest Connoisseurs. Which will begin selling On Monday the 3d of May, 1773, By George Wagstaff, (A Lover and Preserver of Antiquity) At his House in Brick-Lane, the Corner of Brown's-Lane, near Christ-Church, Spitalfields. The Prices marked on the first Leaf of each Book as well as in the Catalogue. (for Ready Money only.) N. B. In this Collection are various Duplicates of Rare Tracts, &c. which sold at prodigious Prizes in the late Mr. West's Sale, from one to five Hundred per Cent. cheaper than they fetched there. Catalogues may be had at the following Booksellers, viz. Ridley's, St. James's Street: Law's, St. Martin's Church-Yard; Wilkie's, St. Paul's Church-Yard; Fletcher and Prince at Oxford; Merril at Cambridge; Booth at Norwich; Flacton at Canterbury; Todd, and Co. at York; Of all the Booksellers in London and Westminster, and at the Place of Sale; where the full Value is given for any Library or Parcel of Books.
