An entire new work, [electronic resource] : and method of proceeding to discover The Variation of the earth's diameters, With Evidences laid down, amounting to a Demonstration, that its true Ratio is not less variable than as 45 is to 46, and shortest in its Pole's Axis 174 Miles; And that no Degree of Gravity given by the Quadrant on its Superficies is attached to the Curveture found there, but are such mean Proportionals between the Curvature and the Centre of the Spheroid; That each Meridional Degree at the Surface will form equal Areas to the common Centre of Gravity, the Earth's Centre.
