General note
This version of Wells' 1840 map shows detail identical to Goddard's engraving of c. 1857; it was photolithographed at the Surveyor general's Office at a later date to show the division into Hundreds. Note in ink : "See Government Gazette May 27th 1835; Prepared by order of the Chief Draftsman, CS April 7, 83."
Shows boundaries of parishes and Hundreds, acreages, land-owners, other cadastral information, roads and railways....
