Administrative / Biographical history

William Baltzer (1859-1948), a German immigrant, architect and civil engineer was instrumental in the development of reinforced concrete in Australia. He worked for Carter Gummow & Co and in 1896 designed the two Annandale aqueducts. He died at Blackheath (N.S.W.) in December 1948
