Judith King inherited the certificate through her family, the Katers, who owned Mumblebone Stud, Wellington, New South Wales, until 1996 and purchsed sheep from John Smith.

Administrative / Biographical history

John Smith (1811-1895) was a sheep breeder from Cornwall, England. He arrived in Sydney on the Abel Gower on 22 April 1836 and went on to become a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly.
