Photographs - 6.8 x 5.5 cm. image (sight); 9.3 x 8.1 cm. (base) - two 1/6th plate ambrotypes in pinchbeck frames with glass front, stored inside bases that were originally part of a case as indicated by metal eyelets for closing mechanism.

The sisters are similarly dressed with their hair tied back and wear an off-the-shoulder dinner dress, that consists of a pointed waist and pleated shirt, underneath which is a white chemise visible at sleeves and neckline. Each girl is adorned with a cross pendant necklace and a jet brooch at the centre front.
