Each plate is signed 'C.J. Coveny' at corner left, 'Chris Coveny' is in ink on title page beneath list of illustrations in artist's hand. Each sketch is titled at lower centre in ink.

Undated, dated from biographical note which claims that Coveny wrote and illustrated a poem when 83 years of age. The text of the poem is not included.
