Philip Henry Morton was born at Numbaa in the Shoalhaven area of NSW, son of Henry Gordon and Jane Morton. His father Henry Morton was manager of the Berry Estate in the Shoalhaven district. Philip Morton was educated at Numbaa and entered the Commercial Banking Co. in 1877, leaving the bank in 1886 to join his father in managing the Berry Estat...
