An earlier and significant consignment of Sir Harold Wyndham's papers (38 boxes) located at MLMSS 5089 was presented to the Library by Lady Wyndham in 1988 and 1989. A detailed contents list is available in the Special Collections Area, Mitchell Library Reading Room.

Administrative / Biographical history
Sir Harold Stanley Wyndham (1903-1988) was NSW Director-General of Education, 1952-1968. He married Beatrice Margaret Grieve in 1936 and his daughter-in-law is author and medical historian, Diana Wyndham.
