At the time the sketches were photographed, the original sketchbook was in the custody of the Campbell family of Wiltshire, and the sketches had been attributed to Sophia Campbell. The sketchbook has since been acquired by the Mitchell Library and the attribution re-ascribed to Edward Close (see catalogue record for SAFE/PXA 1187 for further detail...
