This lined exercise book was left at The Castle on 30 May 1984 by the R.A.N. Adventure Training Section, H.M.A.S. Albatross. It contains entries by bushwalking groups and includes the names of groups, individuals and the weather conditions. Some entries include ink sketches.

The Castle, a spectacular land formation, is located in the Morton National Park, south of Sydney NSW. Morton National Park takes up an enormous area located to the west of the towns of Nowra, Jervis Bay and Ulladulla on the coast and northeast of Braidwood.
