In 1900, H.E.C. Robinson took control of the company Higgenbotham, Robinson & Harrison and formed H.E.C. Robinson Pty Ltd, map publishers of Melbourne. Angus & Robertson Ltd purchased the map publishing business in 1959 as a subsidiary company. In 1971 H.E.C. Robinson Pty Ltd was sold to the Paul Hamlyn Group.
