Administrative / Biographical history

Jessica Anderson was born in Brisbane but has lived most of her life in Sydney. She began writing novels at the age of forty and in 1978 won the Miles Franklin Award for Tirra lirra by the river. In 1980 she again won the Miles Franklin as well as the NSW Premier's Award for The impersonators.
