Signature / Inscriptions

Photographers stamp on reverse of most photographs.

The inscriptions on the reverse of Nos. 49 and 168 are difficult to decipher.

No. 101 is signed by Rose Scott.

No. 121 bears inscription, "For Mrs Mitchell".

No. 160 has an invitation to Mr Mitchell from Mrs Alfred Sandeman affixed to the reverse.

Description source

Sir John Young (No. 36) has been identified by another copy held in the Portrait file P1/Y Mitchell Library. The woman with Young cannot be his daughter as he died without issue.
