'All pictures were taken by C.N. Govett with a Box Brownie camera. Enlargements have revealed much detail and I consider the pictures to be remarkable considering the fixed lens of the camera coupled with the fact one usually had to wait for sunlight to take a photo' - C.N. Administrative / Biographical history
Clement N. Govett served with the British Commonwealth Occupation Forces in Japan after World War II. He served later in Korea during the Korean War and returned to Japan in 1951.
