Administrative / Biographical history
Dr Mark Valentine St. Leon has researched the early history of circus in Australia. His great-great-grandfather, John Leon Jones, founded the St. Leon Circus in 1854. The St. Leon name was originally adopted for professional reasons, but by the 1890's had become the accepted family name.
