General note
During World War 2 this photograph of Rabaul Harbour was borrowed by General MacArthur from donor's grandfather to help in planning the defence of the harbour. Donor's grandfather, Robert Edward Styles, worked for Burns Philp which had set up operations in Rabaul. (See Library Correspondence File)
