ABSTRACT
Solitary fibrous tumours of the pleura (SFTPs) are rare mesenchymal neoplasms, accounting for 4% of chest tumours, and they can rarely cause obstructive pneumonia attributable to airway obstruction. To the best of our knowledge, there are no individual reports of SFTP complicated by empyema. We present one such case.
