Highlights • We analyzed the effect of FMDV ncRNAs combined with FMD vaccines in mice. • The IRES RNA enhances the immunity induced by FMD vaccination. • Co-inoculation of IRES RNA with FMD vaccines increased the antibody titers. • IRES transcripts promote an early antibody response in vaccinated mice.
