Scope and Contents

Contents

Inorganic nanocrystals such as gold particles, IOs and QDs can be used as contrast agents for medical imaging. The high X-ray attenuation of gold nanoparticles is useful for contrast in CT imaging and the optical properties of these nanoparticles have been exploited in a variety of imaging techniques.
