A study investigated the effect that icing the arm and shoulder between innings had on pitching fatigue, velocity and accuracy during simulated baseball games. Data found that three minutes of interval cryotherapy between innings significantly delayed the onset of fatigue and generally increased velocity, while no differences occurred in accuracy.
