epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) has the highest mortality rate among patients with gynecologic malignancies. Lack of specific and early symptoms and of screening tests causes that most patients are diagnosed in advanced stage of disease. Radical surgery followed by chemotherapy does not bring satisfactory curative effects.
