Prof. Shimon Slavin, head of the bone-marrow transplant unit at Hadassah-University Hospital in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem, says he is hopeful that the technique will be useful for fighting the body's natural rejection of foreign organs. "If it works for kidneys, as it has, it could work for any transplanted organ," Slavin commented.
