On January 26, 2000 Lt. Col. Lasse Braathen, Norwegian army, visited the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Colonel Braathen's visit symbolized the increasing Active/Reserve Component Integration that is bringing the Army closer to the Army Chief of Staff's vision of "The Army."
