文章从体教融合的内涵以及其发展的几个阶段的要求出发，研究了目前高校在“体教融合”背景下培养高水平竞技体育人才存在的掣肘因素。提出要坚持落实德智体全面发展的素质培养方向，坚持系统观念，通过优化保障体系、办学模式、育人机制、后备人才培养体系等方面探索体教融合模式，积极推进竞技体育人才培养创新，打造“教、科、训、医”一体的人才培养新体系。
