Administrative / Biographical history
Thomas Jamison (1745-1811), surgeon, was born in England and educated at the University of Dublin. In 1777 he received a warrant as a naval surgeon and was appointed surgeon's mate of the Sirius, arriving at Sydney with the first fleet in 1788.
