Administrative / Biographical history
Born Abraham Levene in Glasgow, Scotland, David Conroy was a bush worker and labourer when he enlisted in the 4th Battalion A.I.F. Infantry aged 22, on 27 Aug. 1914. He embarked from Sydney, New South Wales, on board Transport A14 Euripides, 20 Oct. 1914 and was killed in action at Gallipoli on 23rd July 1915.
