Clarence Thomas Gosper was born at Musswellbrook in 1865. At the age of about 16 he moved to Sydney where he gained employment as an artist for John Sands Ltd working on illuminated addresses. In about 1914 he began to work freelance while continuing to paint for John Sands. His eldest daughter, Essie (born in 1890) joined him until her marriage in...
