Administrative / Biographical history
Bosco, Bartolomeo (1793-1863) European magician, most popular between 1830 and 1850. Bosco died in poverty after subsidizing his son, Eugene Bosco, for a number of years. Bosco was so well-known that no less than five other magicians performed under that name after his death, in an attempt to capitalize on his fame.
