Administrative / Biographical history

Edward Rowland was a butcher in Murrurundi in the early 1870's. He and his brother James were engaged in a variety of business activities at Blackville, including poundkeeping. Edward was instrumental in establishing a post office at Blackville and was the first postmaster there, 1875-1876
