Auguste Jules Meyer was born in Noumea on 15 September 1886. He arrived in Sydney on 19 August 1908 and became a naturalised British subject in May 1922. He was employed as a typist by Rylands & Sons (Colonial) Pty. Ltd., cotton goods indentors from October 1908 until March 1909. In March 1909 he joined Picard-Goulet Fils, wool and sheepskin buyers...
