Samson Henry Hain (1871-1952), the son of a grazier, grew up in Cooma, N.S.W.. He attended The King's School, Parramatta, 1888-1889. He was principal pastoral respresentative for the Sydney stock and station agents, Pitt, Son & Badgery, 1904-1919.
