Frances Rand created Lesbians on the Loose in 1989, a magazine that started out as a monthly 8 page "gig guide" for Sydney lesbians. It expanded from a local readership of 1000 to an Australia-wide lesbian readership of 20 000 by 1998, when Rand sold the publication as a going concern to Silke Bader. Rand's partner Barbara Farrelly was co-editor of...
