The modernist design depicts a rooftop carpark and a glass curtain wall on the Oxford Street frontage. The drawing was most likely commissioned by the building's designers, architects Morrow & Gordon.

Department store Grace Bros was established in George Street, Sydney in 1885 by English immigrant brothers, Joseph Neal Grace and Albert Edward Grace.
