Charles Venn Pilcher was born in Oxford, England in 1879. He was ordained in 1903 in Worcester Cathedral. In 1906 he joined the staff of Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto, Canada, lecturing in Greek Testament. In 1936, Pilcher was invited by the Archbishop of Sydney, Dr Howard Mowll, to be assistant bishop. His work consisted of preachi...
