The papers of Jean Daly had been in the possession of her nieces, Dr Mary Edmunds, and her sister, Anne McMillan, before being presented to the Library.

Jean Daly (1897-1986), Catholic laywoman and women’s rights activist, was born at Strathfield, NSW, the eldest of six children of Walter Edmunds, and his wife, Monica, nee McGrath.
