Administrative / Biographical history

Emily Chambers was born in Leeds, England, in 1905. She met her future husband, Gordon Mailer Brown, while skiing at Kosciuszko, New South Wales, in 1930. The Hotel Kosciusko, built in 1909 at Diggers Creek near Jindabyne, was destroyed by fire in 1951.
