Signature / Inscriptions
The signature of T.E. Donne is on the inside front cover. Two sketches only are signed: 'Thos. Godfrey' (f. 17) and 'Hugh Boscawen' (f. 32), but more may be by these. Some of the sketches (ff. 35-44) may be by or after J.J. Merrett, while others (ff. 46-58) may be by James Coutts Crawford.
Date note
Most of the sketches are dated between 1844-1846, but the Auckland scenes, possibly by James Eastwood, are dated 1863.
