"Janie of the Magic Shoes" and "Here Come the Bears" are 2 stories of a 4 story volume collectively titled "Chimney Town". The other 2 stories are titled "The Stratosphere" and "Chimney Town"and their original illustrations can be found at PXA 2142 and PXA 2143 respectively.

In 1934 Ida Rentoul Outhwaite illustrated a volume of four stories issued under the lead story's title, Chimney Town. The author was Tarella Quin Daskein, wih whom Outhwaite had collaborated over twenty years previously, illustrating Gum Tree Brownie in 1907 and Before the Lamps Are Lit in 1911.
