Administrative / Biographical history
Thomas Icely (1797-1874) first came to New South Wales in 1820 and sold the consignment of goods he had brought with him. In 1824 he went into partnership with Matthew Hindson, with Governor Brisbane's commendation, to exploit the timber trade with England
