The image depicts Plugge's Plateau, The Sphinx, Walker's Ridge and Baby 700 at Gallipoli. A narrow beach can be seen in the lower left. It is a preliminary study for the finished painting, 'Anzac, the landing, 1915', dated 1920-1922, in the collection of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.
